DANCE WORKS
WE MAY BE SOME TIME - 2016
This large-scale dance and vocal piece was the final work Bethan presented as a part of her residency at Royal Museums Greenwich.
We may be some time is an interactive trail of discovery through the National Maritime Museum performed by an intergenerational cast from local communities. Audiences were invited to follow a trail of their own around the museum to uncover personal accounts of travel, adventure and the desire to explore the world around us against a backdrop steeped in history and the spirit of intrepid voyages.
We may be some time was a partnership project between the National Maritime Museum, Greenwich Dance and Trinity Laban. It was programmed as part of the Greenwich Dances Festival 2016.

THERE ARE ONLY ENCOUNTERS - 2015
This was the introductory live performance of Bethan's residency at Royal Museums Greenwich in collaboration with dance artist Ingrid Hatleskog.
Taking inspiration from The Art and Science of Exploration exhibition (displayed at the Queen’s House, Greenwich in 2015) this promenade dance work uses the theme of encounters between people on journeys of discovery and exploration as a starting point.
It focuses on the instinctual reactions and emotions that are heightened in these meetings and questions the link between first encounters and the representation of the people involved.
Dancers: Ingrid Hatleskog & Bethan Peters
